At 5 years after iPod's introduction, what people truly wants is a MULTIMEDIA player and there Zunes fails short: it plays only M$'s own wm and a bastard type of mpeg4 of its own creation when most people now rips DVDs using the .avi format either in DivX or Xvid. What we need is a player that allows the user to load the latest codecs into it to play any kind of media format he prefers. Zune, instead, puts the user in a straightjacket imposing what Microsoft wants him to play. Well, who needs simple mp3 playing anymore? It's "more intuitive" doesn't give any description whatsoever. All MP3 players are going to look different and have an alternate way of navigating through the menus- it's a matter of personal opinion. I don't understand the wi-fi option.. isn't that basically allowing people to get free music, aka stealing, aka copyright infringement?
